TuneCore Expands Into The United Kingdom
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ TuneCore) TuneCore, the leading digital music distribution and publishing administration service provider, today announced its expansion into the United Kingdom with the launch of TuneCore UK.

TuneCore.co.uk is exclusive to UK-based artists and allows them to collect revenue from streams, downloads, royalties and sync licensing in their local currency. TuneCore is committed to bringing more music to more people around the world, while helping musicians and songwriters increase revenue opportunities and take charge of their careers.

With the new expansion, TuneCore UK Artists can take advantage of TuneCore's extensive network of digital partners across the globe, including iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon Music, Deezer, 8tracks and KKBOX, among many others. With over 150 partners worldwide, TuneCore provides independent artists with the opportunity to sell and share their music in important and growing global markets, such as India, Latin America, Africa and Russia, as well as the United States and Europe. Since the company's inception in 2006, TuneCore Artists have earned more than $576 million from over 18.7 billion downloads and streams.

In addition, UK members will have access to TuneCore's robust portfolio of artist support services, including YouTube Sound Recording Revenues, LANDR, and TrackSmarts, as well as TuneCore customer support. New TuneCore UK members signing up for an account will pay £5.99 to upload a single for distribution. Artists distributing an album will pay £19.99 in the first year and £33.99 each year thereafter. Artists may also pay a onetime fee of £49.99 for access to TuneCore Publishing Administration, which provides worldwide registration and royalty collection and placement opportunities in film, TV commercials, video games, and more. TuneCore Artists always keep 100 percent of their revenues and retain complete ownership of their music.

"Expanding into the UK is a natural fit for TuneCore and part of our ongoing expansion plan to make it easier than ever for Artists to get music out on the market and in fans' hands, while also making money through a variety of digital distribution and music publishing services," said Scott Ackerman, CEO of TuneCore. "With so many customers around the world using our service, our goal is to support them at the local level, in the best way possible. We're confident that this expansion will further solidify TuneCore's position as a leader in international digital music distribution."

Artists distributed by TuneCore have the additional opportunity to be signed on with Believe Digital or Believe Recordings, through the companies' strategic partnership. The UK Believe Digital office has 30 employees on the ground in London, covering label and international campaign management, trade and online digital marketing services, video management and distribution, synchronization and neighbouring rights. It also runs an in-house record label, Believe Recordings UK, and is the digital distributor of labels such as: Brownswood Recordings, Southern Fried, Hospital Records, Tru Thoughts, One Little Indian, Future Classic, World Circuit, Skint Records, Nettwerk Records, Soundway, Kartel Label Services and Xtra Mile Recordings. Believe Recordings has developed and released artists like James Vincent McMorrow, Gavin James, Breton and Public Service Broadcasting.

TuneCore UK is the third international expansion for the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based service provider. TuneCore Japan and TuneCore Canada have been providing similar services for local customers since 2012 and 2011, respectively.
