Holland, Mich (Top40 Charts/ Luck Media) Emerging indie pop singer Kanisha K's keeping some big time superstar and major label company, hitting #1 on the FMQB AC Add Board for the second week in a row with "Bring Me Home," the infectious follow-up single to her breakthrough hit "My Another Day."
On the chart published June 10, the fast rising Holland, Mich. based singer (www.kanishakmusic.com) is tied with superstar major label artists
American Authors (Island), the late Michael Jackson/Justin Timberlake (Epic) and
Rixton (Interscope), and is one slot above
Ed Sheeran (Atlantic).
"Bring Me Home" also made the incredible leap from #74 to #43 on the FMQB AC Top 200 chart.
Kanisha K's track is also #5 most added on the Mediabase Add Board, tying her with
Danny Gokey (BMG),
Magic! (Latium/RCA),
Nico & Vinz (Warner Bros.) and
Sara Bareilles (Epic).
In addition, "Bring Me Home" is #3 most added on the BDS (Broadcast Data Systems) AC chart, tied with
Magic! and Gokey and just behind Nico & Vinz, Rixton, Jackson/Timberlake and above
Bastille (Virgin/Capitol).
Speaking of home, Kanisha brought down the house singing the
National Anthem this past Friday, June 6 for the West Michigan Whitecaps, the
Detroit Tigers Single A minor league affiliate, located in Comstock Park, MI, a suburb of Grand Rapids.
"My Another Day" recently earned Kanisha her first Hollywood
Music in Media Award (HMMA) for Best Pop Song.
"Bring Me Home" was produced by veteran producer and artist Larry King (Soleil Moon, lead vocalist in the Michael Thompson Band & Larry King Orchestra). The track features some of Chicago's top musicians, including John Blasucci on keyboards, Khari Parker on drums, Lamar Jones on bass and guitarist Chris Siebold.
"My Another Day," which was a Top 40 hit on the Mediabase A/C chart,
was conceived as a healing post-breakup song but adopted by many fans as an anthem about overcoming addiction.
The infectious track reached #5 on the FMQB AC40 Chart alongside superstars like Pharrell Williams, Daughtry, One Direction, Imagine Dragons,
Katy Perry and Lorde.
