Europe's Largest Celebration Of Film Soundtracks, The 9th Film Music Festival, To Be Held In Krakow This May
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Krakow Festival Office) The music of Rosemary's Baby, Tron: Legacy, Sicario, The Theory of Everything, Drive, How to Train Your Dragon, Shrek, Frozen, Raiders of the Lost Ark and the world premiere of The Witcher 3 soundtrack are among the attractions at the 9th Film Music Festival in Krakow.

The most famous motifs from Roman Polański's films, jazz deconstructions of Hollywood's Golden Age hits, ambient sounds, film and game soundtrack premieres, compositions for animated cinema hits and world-famous stars of film and music - all await fans of soundtracks who visit the festival between 24-30 May 2016.

World premieres of electronica and symphony film motifs
The alterFMF Gala: Drone Sounds on 27th May will feature famous motifs by composers who have been dubbed the new wave of Hollywood film music: Joseph Trapanese (Divergent Series: Allegiant, Insurgent) who collaborated with Daft Punk and the M83 project on Tron: Legacy and Oblivion; Cliff Martinez, former Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer, composer of minimalist arrangements for Drive, Only God Forgives and The Neon Demon, combining electronica and symphonic music; and Jóhann Jóhannsson, the prominent contemporary composer, writer of the Oscar-nominated score for The Theory of Everything and suites for Sicario and Prisoners.

Animations, Indiana Jones and The Witcher - three great concerts at the monumental TAURON Arena.

The Film Music Gala: Animations will feature masters of animated film music John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, Ice Age 2: Meltdown) and Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia), as well as pieces from Pocahontas, Frozen, Smurfs and Angry Birds: The Movie.

Raiders of the Lost Ark with live music composed by John Williams will be shown on 29th May, on the 35th anniversary of its premiere. The famous Raiders March which opens the soundtrack is the second most recognisable film motif of all time, surpassed only by the Star Wars theme.

On 30th May, the festival finale will feature the Video Game Show: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - a joint project by the Krakow Festival Office and CD Projekt RED, publisher of the cult game. The Witcher is one of the most recognisable video game characters in the world, and the game is one of the most successful made in Poland, with over 6 million copies sold in the first 6 weeks, making it the most recognisable Polish brand in the world.
