New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Based on an endearment for neon teen cinema and a love of youthful exuberance, Graces combine ambient soundscapes, distorted guitars and recognisable pop sensibilities. The band spent their formative years in the rural Lake District before relocating to South Yorkshire just 18 months ago. Breaking out of the four walls of their post-industrial rehearsal space in Sheffield, the band took their gripping live show around the country in 2017, playing sold out venues in Sheffield, London and Manchester on word of mouth alone. The melancholy prowess of the band embraces the volatility of growing up, finds the dirt and celebrates it. Whilst sharing stages with Feeder, Fickle Friends and The Amazons, the band worked on a series of singles with producer Phil Gornell (Bring Me The Horizon, All Time Low) and were lauded by the mainstream music press. After a busy festival season which included performances at Tramlines Festival and Kendal Calling, the band rounded off the year with a sold-out show in front of 700 people supporting Bruce Foxton from The Jam. New single Hotel is set for release in April 2018 with the band announcing their biggest ever headline shows.

About the song:
"Hotel is about restlessness, being scared of the future but also being willing to dive headfirst into it, without having a plan, direction or a home. It's about asking someone to wake you up and take you with them in the hopes that somehow it will fix you regardless of where you may end up. It's a homage to the classic Hollywood stories of two young people running away together, the kind of thing we see in films like 'True Romance'. It is a pulsating 80s night drive song and an introduction to our world. The song was recorded at Fox Den Studios in Sheffield. It was a perfect place for us to record as it has the feeling of a little sanctuary that's kept secret from the outside world. We record and produce all Graces material ourselves, meaning it was just us four working away on the song over the Christmas period last year. The vibe of the studio fits our writing style perfectly as it has a sense of being a secret lab you can hide away in and work tirelessly on something before you release it out into the ether."
