New York, NY (Top40 Charts) International singer-songwriter
Leona Lewis is back with a classic love song. Travel agency TUI Nordic asked
Leona Lewis to record a new version of the theme song Elton John's Your Song, one of the most popular love songs in history.
- Im such a huge fan of
Elton John and Ive always loved Your Song. I was excited to have the opportunity to record my own version. Its such a beautiful song. Both the melody and the lyrics are perfect. I hope people like it, says
Leona Lewis.
Leona has recently released her fifth album, I Am. That instantly recognizable voice is what has garnered
Leona Lewis seven BRIT Award nominations, three Grammy Award nominations, and made the quadruple-platinum Bleeding Love the best-selling song of 2008. Among going No. 1 in over 35 countries and 10x Platinum in the U.K., she made U.S. history becoming the First UK female solo artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 in over 20 years while the critically celebrated singer-songwriters worldwide sales surpass 20 million albums to date.
In 2014 she re-teamed with Echo producer and collaborator Toby Gad (John Legend, Beyonc) to create her fifth and most personal full-length album I Am. Released
September 2015 on Island Records & Def Jam Recordings, I Am is as confessional as it is catchy. Featuring a special collaboration with GRAMMY Award-winning artist
Diane Warren and including stunning hit singles such as Fire Under My Feet, Thunder and I Am. I Am highlights powerful, upbeat
anthems and incredible emotional ballads, all demonstrating Leonas striking, almost ethereal vocal range.
Your Song has been specially recorded for TUIs new advertising campaign, which highlights love with the help of real-life couple
Charlotte and Valentine. The song is recorded and produced in Los Angeles with Swedish music producer Jonas Quant (Hurts,
Foxes etc).
- Your Song has been the soundtrack of TUIs holidays since 2002 and we are proud to have
Leona Lewis contribute to the heritage with her moving version. We think it captures the loving emotions of a couples holiday perfectly, says Anna Laestadius.
Lewis new version of the song is the center of a new campaign designed for the launch of the new Sensimar concept, resorts for adults traveling without children. The film premiered on Saturday evening on prime time TV in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.
