Rising Country Music Star Alex Hall Pays Tribute To Military With Debut Song And Lyric Video
Atlanta (Top40 Charts / Homegirl Entertainment) Going from the classroom to the stage may seem like a stretch for most 18-year-olds, but Alex Hall is no ordinary high school graduate. He recently signed with legendary vocal coach and artist developer Mama Jan Smith ( Justin Bieber , Usher, The Band Perry) under her new moniker, Homegirl Entertainment. Since discovering his passion for music four years ago, Alex has spent every waking moment honing his own brand of wholesome country music. His development as an artist and song writer culminates this Memorial Day with the release of his first single, "You'll Need an Angel."

The launch of "You'll Need an Angel" will be supported by a lyric video, which can be viewed on YouTube. Once having considered a career in the Marines, Alex has a deep respect for the military and those who sacrifice greatly for the freedoms we wake up to everyday. "You'll Need an Angel" produced by Jan Smith , is a country-rock anthem meant as a thank you to those serving our country. Alex hopes everyone who hears the song will gain a sense of hope. Whether on patrol in Afghanistan or roaming the halls of high school, he wants people to feel a sense of belonging through his music and realize they are never alone.

"We owe our military so much and it's nice to be able to pay homage to them this Memorial Day," said Alex Hall . "If I can help someone with my music—military or otherwise—then I can say mission accomplished. 'You'll Need an Angel' is a three and a half minute picture of who I am and what I stand for."

Alex took quickly to music. He began playing guitar as a freshman at Chestatee High School in Gainesville, Ga. Now with diploma in hand, he is ready to take the country music scene by storm. He brings together unparalleled drive and a passion for all genres of music. This passion led him to Jan Smith Studios.

"I've worked with a lot of young artists over the years and Alex is one of the hardest working people I've ever met," said Mama Jan. "I know he will succeed because he possesses the rare blend of talent, heart and drive that will propel him to the top of the industry. Plus, he has a great team behind him!"

Finding success hasn't been easy for Alex, who has sacrificed much of his high school experience in pursuit of his dream. Over the last 12 months, he has played more than 150 shows around the country. Regardless of location and end time, Alex managed to make it to school the next day. In many cases, he only got an hour or two of sleep the night before.

"There is nothing I would rather do than play music," said Alex. "Being on stage is the biggest adrenaline rush. I try to create a high energy show where music fans can revel in a shared love of music."

Alex Hall 's debut song "You'll Need an Angel" is available now on iTunes. To see the just released lyric video, visit YouTube. Follow Alex Hall on Facebook, Twitter or at www.alexhall.com .
