Acclaimed New Age Guitarist, Shambhu, Releasing New Album 'Soothe' - Out February 1, 2017
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) In the wake of arguably one of the most contentious US Presidential elections in history, acclaimed guitarist and composer, Shambhu, is poised to release a new album to help soothe the masses. His third full-length album, Soothe, features Grammy award-winning multi-instrumentalist Paul McCandless (Pat Methany, Bela Fleck and the Fleckstones, Oregon), keyboardist Frank Martin (Lady Gaga, Elton John, Stevie Wonder), world-renowned flutist Ravichandra Kulur (Ravi Shankar, Ian Anderson), and more. Soothe will be available on iTunes on February 1, 2017.

Based in San Diego, CA, Shambhu has led a life seeking balance. Having studied meditation for 30 years, Shambhu has worked to balance his lifelong love of music and a successful corporate technology career. (In fact, he wrote the Soothe album while managing a Silicon Valley technology startup!) His early career found him jamming with Carlos Santana and working with Grammy-winning record producer Narada Michael Walden on a Whitney Houston album.

Shambhu believes that social media and marketing technologies he has helped promote are making people feel disconnected and anxious. He sees a need to balance our lives with time for personal reflection, connection with Nature and music. Thus, he transformed the stillness and silence of his own meditation into the music of Soothe.

The Marin Independent-Journal hails Shambhu as "a consummate guitarist." Songwriting Magazine calls him "brilliant". The San Diego Reader describes Shambhu's music as "meditative and slightly proggy Indian-jazz fusion."
Shambhu recorded Soothe at Magic Cottage Studios in Lagunitas, CA with producer Todd Boston. Enjoy the new album, Soothe, out February 1, 2017.
