Amos Lee Offers Hope To The Most Resilient On New Single "No More Darkness, No More Light"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Amos Lee has unveiled "No More Darkness, No More Light," the first single from his upcoming album 'My New Moon' (August 31 / Dualtone Records). Inspired by relationships Amos built through organizations like Musicians on Call and the Melodic Caring Project, "No More Darkness" beams with unrelenting optimism in the face of hardship. Amos completely re-wrote the song's lyrics in the aftermath of the Parkland tragedy, inspired by the positive change brought from such a dark situation. Coupled with the guidance of producer Tony Berg and top-notch playing from musicians like multi-instrumentalist Ethan Gruska and keyboardists Benmont Tench and Patrick Warren, Lee finds himself with a rich and substantive ode to enduring.

Much like "Darkness," the ten songs on 'My New Moon' console, reflect, and uplift. Lee particularly draws inspiration from two young fans who battled serious illness and their families, and how spending time with such unbelievably courageous people changed the way he saw his own life. As Amos wrestles with difficult questions about loss and works through hardships, the record unfolds as a testament to embracing a higher purpose than one's self and the pursuit of peace in adversity. Performances from multi-instrumentalist Blake Mills, drummer Chris Dave (D'Angelo's 'Black Messiah,' Adele's '21') and pedal steel master Greg Leisz accentuate Amos' purposeful vision.

Lee will tour through the fall, including performances at the Beacon Theatre and Capitol Theatre in New York, the Pilgrimage Music Festival in Tennessee and Ohana Festival in Southern California. A full list of dates is below. 'My New Moon' is Lee's first new album since 2016's 'Spirit,' his third straight release to debut in the Top 10 of Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart, opening at #3.
