Burbank, CA (Top40 Charts/ Warner Brothers Records) - Asylum recording artist and Yonkers native Outasight is gearing up for his first commercial release, a digital EP titled Further. The EP comes as a follow-up to the incredibly successful mixtape of the same name that dropped as a free digital download in December of 2009, accruing over 120k downloads since. Popular clothing line L-R-G sponsored the 14-track mixtape and also distributed the free physical product through merchants nationwide. The digital EP, out March 23rd, will include four tracks that were featured on the mixtape in addition to two brand new songs. The video for "Catch Me If You Can" will debut the same day on MySpace in conjunction with the EP's release. Three more videos from the EP will soon follow.

Outasight grew up in the suburbs of New York City where he discovered his love for music at a young age through a guitar passed down to him from his father. Because of his interest in various genres of music, it was not unusual for Outasight to practice with a garage band one day while honing his skills as an MC the next. His multi-faceted personalities manifest in the music he makes today as he weaves traditional hip-hop, classic soul, and pop music with a tinge of indie rock to form a style coined as "urban-alternative."

Outasight's first release was the Employee Of The Year mixtape that dropped in 2007. The project was successfully promoted through MySpace and became a fan-favorite in the blogosphere. However, it was his 2008 follow-up, Radio New York, which gave Outasight his biggest break. The mixtape landed on MySpace Homepage as part of their unsigned hype where it was prominently featured for three consecutive days receiving an average of 50,000 plays a day. The video for the song "Good Evening" was added to MTVU after winning the online MTVU Freshman competition. He released his third mixtape, From Here to There, with DJ Mike Boogie in March of 2009.

Outasight and his music have been featured on trendsetting and critics' choice websites such as Complex.com, 2dopeboyz.com, Nahright.com, SmokingSection.com, URB.com, XXL.com, Okayplayer.com, HipHopDX.com and more.

As for his next step, Outasight will release his anticipated debut album, From Here To Eternity, due out later this year. "The concept behind my album is one person's quest from the present moment to being timeless," he says. "It's something that lives way beyond me. It's about the quest."
