Atlanta Hip-hop Day Welcomes Afrika Bambaataa To Honor Atlanta's Prominent In Hip-hop
Atlanta, GA (Top40 Charts/ ABC Publicity) Atlanta Hip-Hop Day is an annual two-day outdoor festival designed to pay homage to Hip-Hop History and Atlanta's contribution to the Hip-Hop culture. The festival 1st annual event will launch on Saturday, October 22nd & Sunday, October 23rd at Robert W. Woodruff Park in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

The Mission of Atlanta Hip-Hop Day is to expose the new generation of Hip-Hop to its' original "Four Elements" which consists of: The MC, The DJ, Graffiti Art, & Breakdancing. Furthermore, the event will provide a platform for aspiring artists to expose their talents as well as provide small businesses in Atlanta an opportunity to market their services and sell merchandise.

Another addition is to be able to recognize the efforts of Atlanta's most prominent Hip-Hop contributors and what better way then the "Grandfather" of Hip-Hop Afrika Bambaataa who is known to be influential in the early developments of Hip-Hop and spreading the culture throughout the world. Afrika Bambaattaa will be on hand to present an award to SoSo Def Records Founder, Jermaine Dupri, the 5th Element Award and the Pioneer Award to Dungeon Family/Organized Noize. Other Atlanta honorees include: Grammy Award winning artist Mike Bigga, Master of Ceremonies Award, Multi-platinum artist, actor & community supporter, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Master in the Community Award, artist and Atlanta legends Kilo Ali, Move The Crowd Award and DJ Jelly, Diggin' in the Crates Award.

The free, family-oriented, two-day event will be filled with activities, music, food, live entertainment, and special performances by Atlanta's hottest Hip-Hop Acts & DJ's that include with more being added: Cyhi Da Prince, Dolla Boy of Playaz Circle, Rich Kids, Charlie Boy Gang, Slim Dunkin, Young Dirty Bastard, BFPL, Dru Smith, Da Kid, Money Jay, DJ T-Roc & The Rocharder DJs, DJ Knight & Fleet DJs, Hood Rich DJs, along with Slip N Slide Records and Konvict Music.

Founders Amir James and Arall Charles created this festival to raise awareness of 30 years of Hip-Hop Culture focusing on peace and positivity.
