Barns Courtney's New Album '404' Out
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Barns Courtney - hailed by Rolling Stone as a "stomping, swaggering rock & roll balancing act teetering between blinding light and total darkness" - released his sophomore album, 404 (Capitol Records), today. Fans can get the album HERE and purchase tickets for the 404 Tour HERE. His North American dates will include a show at New York City's Webster Hall next Monday, September 9, and a September 26 concert at The Fonda in Los Angeles. Shows in Toronto and the Pacific Northwest cities of Seattle, Portland and Vancouver are already sold out. The HUNNA will be opening. See below for itinerary.

404 features the hits "99" - which has been streamed over 36 million times worldwide, entered the top 5 at Alternative radio and charted in the top 15 at AAA - and "You And I,"which is now climbing the charts. Barns Courtney takes over the cover of the Alternative Playlist on YouTube today. Check out his episode of "Beyond The Barricade," which finds Barns Courtney paying a visit to the Jones sisters (seen on Netflix's "Queer Eye") at Jones Bar-B-Que, where he chows down before a gig in Kansas City.

The title of Barns Courtney's new album will no doubt be familiar to anyone who's ever searched for something online and found themselves face to face with nothing. 404 is an album that explores feelings of loss, inspired by life's habit of throwing up its own error pages. Barns Courtney describes it as "a commentary on my own journey from awestruck naiveté to the dark realization of adulthood." These realities collide in the official video for lead single "99," which can be viewed HERE.

The big picture, he adds, is "a weird alternative Narnia or Neverland, where all the tropes of your childhood have melted. From Pokémon to Nintendo 64, the core of my being is there: an unorthodox maelstrom of memories condensed down into this bizarre undulating world."

Alternative Press hailed "You And I" as "the perfect feel-good track." Praising the existential themes of 404, the Chicago Reader noted, "he offers up ten melodic, psychedelic, and sometimes dance-worthy tunes, infusing each of them with his deep, rich voice, which is reminiscent of Iggy Pop and David Bowie." The Dallas Observer said, "Barns Courtney possesses all the qualities needed to be this generation's monster-sized rock star. A natural performer unburdened with the obnoxious neediness to be liked…[he] is cool and self-deprecating in the same breath. It's a sight to behold."

Barns Courtney has amassed more than 650 million global streams and 63 million YouTube views. His acclaimed 2017 debut album, The Attractions Of Youth, has sold nearly 400,000 adjusted album units worldwide and contained the singles "Fire," "Glitter & Gold" and "Golden Dandelions." He has performed on such television shows as "Conan," "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and "Last Call with Carson Daly." Named Artist of the Year at the Music Week Sync Awards 2018, his songs have been heard in films (The Founder, Burnt), television shows ("Suits," "Lucifer," Netflix's "Safe") and advertising campaigns (Showtime, Cadillac, Miller Lite).
