For the title track off BIG GIGANTIC's newest album-which charted at #10 on the Dance/Electronic Album and #18 Heatseekers Album Billboard charts respectively as well as #2 on iTunes Electronic Album chart upon its release on February 11 -the two bands got together for tequila shots and fun in the sun after a festival play at Mayan Holidaze in Mexico. " We took the title track off of our new album, The Night Is Young , got a bunch of our friends and flew down to Mexico to party and shoot a music video about letting loose, raging until the sun comes up and making the most of every little moment," Lalli told Rollingstone.com . "The Night Is Young!"

THE NIGHT IS YOUNG , which marks the fifth album by Boulder, CO -based saxophonist/producer Lalli and drummer Salken following Fire It Up (2009), Wide Awake (2009), A Place Behind The Moon (2010) and 2012's Nocturnal (which has received more than one million downloads to date ), is an eclectic mix of tracks that span genres from electronic and dance to hip hop and electro soul . There are eight songs on THE NIGHT IS YOUNG including "Touch The Sky," a blazing instrumental that made its debut in late 2013 to critical acclaim throughout the blogosphere, as well as the crushing dubstep song " Lets Go!," the dazzling sax- hooked track "Just For The Thrill" and velvety number "Shooting Stars." Critical quotes follow below.

BIG GIGANTIC's "THE NIGHT IS YOUNG Tour" is underway now featuring support from Manic Focus , Gladiator and cakedup (on select dates). Remaining dates include stops in Washington, DC, Orlando, Tampa , Jacksonville, Aspen and more. Tickets are available now at: www.biggigantic.net/events. Following their headlining tour, the duo will appear at select U.S. festivals including their debut at Coachella and a return to Georgia's CounterPoint Festival . Sets at Sasquatch! and Spring Awakening are also on the horizon, along with a spot on the Mad Decent Boat Party in November. See below for full list of tour dates.

BIG GIGANTIC 's new album THE NIGHT IS YOUNG is available now for free via their website www.biggigantic.net . In the press:

"The follow-up to 2012′s Nocturnal - which received more than one million downloads - fuses elements of electronic, dance, hip-hop and electro soul and also includes the acclaimed instrumental 'Touch the Sky' and the dubstep winner 'Lets Go!' " -John D. Luerssen, ROLLING STONE (2/20/14)

"These two musicians, though, have set out to carve their own path, taking the conventional and turning it on its head with genre-flipping tracks and incredible audio-visual live performances. Their latest release, The Night is Young , bring the duo to their experimental heights, taking their loyal following and exposing them to an electro-heavier side of the duo… The album's title track, 'The Night is Young,' features electro-pop stars Cherub on incredibly catchy lyrics. The track turns into one of the most successful on the album, providing a catchy and differential sound while also featuring one of the most impressively masterful sax lines on the entire album during a half-step break. Elements of disco-groove "push out" towards other genres as Big Gigantic perfectly mix the electro-pop feel with acoustic instrumental work. Released a week prior to the album's drop, the track's atypical Big Gigantic feel received an overwhelmingly positive reaction from critics, and deservedly so."-Eric Zwilling, DANCING ASTRONAUT (2/ 8/14)

"The easily digestible album consists of eight tracks for the masses to bust the proverbial groove to whether it be listening amongst yourself or experiencing their legendary live shows. Outside of Big Gigantic's two singles 'Touch The Sky' and 'The Night Is Youg ft. Cherub' released leading up to the album, 'Blue Dream' might take the claim as our favorite track on the album; capturing that signature funky soulful side of Big Gigantic with just the right amount of electro grit we can't get enough of."-Bryan, THIS SONG IS SICK (2/11/14)

"The Night Is Young is a party album. This 35-minute dirty dancing thump fest differs from the more soulful sound that distinguished Big Gigantic in the beginning of their career. Their signature blend of drums and saxophone has moved from smooth-jazz electronica to a more mainstream mix of house, dubstep, trap and nu-disco. The title track, featuring sexy electro-pop duo Cherub reflects Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky,' sporting the latest sonic trend of recycled 1970s disco-pop and soul with an electronic backbeat. 'Touch the Sky' mixes popular contemporary electronic styles. House vocals and bass turn into a dubstep beat and then ratcheting trap. These three styles can also be found in the album's first song, 'Clvdbvrst,' and in 'Let's Go!' "- Elyse Beaudoin, METROLAND (2/20/14)

"Eight bright and moving tracks, each one packed with a landscape of sound ripe for your ears to explore."- Kevin Kaminski, REAL DETROIT WEEKLY (2/14/14)

"…the title track with its sprinkles of disco, 'Young' is filled with life, energy and a warm human touch."-Piet Levy, MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL (2/11/14)

"The Night is Young - a collection of aggressive, high-tempo dance music - is something of a new beginning for the Boulder, Colo., duo."-Gary Graff, OAKLAND PRESS (2/11/14)

"We'll just say that it's a must listen…Salken's confident drum work, and Lalli's monumental sax solos throughout leaves a lasting impression. The Night Is Young proves that Big Gigantic will continue their rein…."- Kevin Tshiamala, HEAR MAGAZINE (2/11/14)

"HIGHLY recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of funky music infused with bass."-Jenny McCarthy, TOP40-CHARTS.COM (2/16/14)

"If I have one thing to say about The Night Is Young , it's that Big Gigantic has not lost their signature style. Fans of Big Gigantic's previous work are in for a treat: saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salkin continue to bring lively, sexy dubstep and hip-hop tunes to the table."-Hal Hyatt, YOUR EDM , (2/13)

"Despite mountainous piles of snow, bitter cold temperatures, & the lack of giant outdoor gatherings going down right now, Big Gigantic has successfully made us feel like we are smack dab in the middle of festival season today with the release of their new album The Night Is Young . Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken have taken the Big Gigantic project a very long way since it's inception, and this album shows how versatile these guys have become with their sound production all while still maintaining a motif that is classic and synonymous to their name."- CURATED MUSIC , (2/11/14)

"Well friends- they've done it again. And by they I mean Big Gigantic and by it I mean a beat-heavy album that will surely translate to an epic live show. Yesterday, the jazzy livetronica group released their fifth album The Night is Young -a genre-spanning collection that leaves no sound behind…If you are a fan of trap, this could be your favorite Big G album. If you love the Dominic Lalli sax-laden tracks, it will also satisfy your appetite. Live for the womp of bass-driven dubstep? You will also find something on this album."-Alex Faubel, 303 MAGAZINE (2/12/14)

"While the focus these days in EDM is so often based on how hard and filthy your drops are, Big Gigantic reminds us how to get people dancing without being over-the-top with this new record."-Chris Downer, LESS THAN 3 (2/12/14)

"The Night Is Young showcases an openness from Big Gigantic not particularly found in their previous work; like there was a conscious decision to explore possibilities more deeply and with an inherently inquisitive nature. Don't get me wrong, there's still a lot of old Big Gigantic sound in this new record with those familiar Electro Funk leads and snazzy sax drops, but the new LP also levels up in places that wasn't quite characteristic of the American duo until now…Quite aptly named, The Night Is Young appears to be a direct message from artist to fan that this is only just another stepping stone in the early stages of what Big Gigantic is and will continue to be."-Jonah, NEST HQ (2/12/14)

"The Night Is Young packs a punch with a variety of different genres raging from dubstep to electro funk and even some nu-disco and trap elements. What I love about this duo is that they are constantly evolving as the scene progresses while staying true to their "Big Gigantic" sound. Dominic's intricate saxophone solos combined with Jeremy's outstanding drumming makes for a release that is anything, but cookie cutter."- THE DANKLES , (2/11/14)

"The Night Is Young very well may be the duo's best offering to date. Building on production lines established on the last project, Nocturnal , it is a full step up from where they were a year ago at this time. On 'Blue Dream' you can hear pieces of 'Rise and Shine,' but with a distinctly different play on notes that takes it to a different place sonically. Sounds are tighter, the horns and electronic hits feel in tune with one another. If their debut project was electronic with a sprinkle of Jazz, this latest offering is a more equal split of tendencies. Adding Cherub on the first single off the project, aptly titled "The Night is Young" is the perfect collaboration for the pair and one that I am personally glad is out in the world."- Jake Krzeczowski, RUBY HORNET , (2/12/14)

"Title track, "The Night Is Young" features fellow producers Cherub, and it is definitely the best dance track on the record. Big G uses this tune, which has more of a funky, nu-disco style beat, which some could say is departure from their earlier works, I say it is a progression as they absolutely nailed it! Needless to say, Lalli's sax is beautifully incorporated into this funky collab. A half-time bridge right in the middle of the track splits up the song perfectly, laying the groundwork for the best drop on the album. This track is guaranteed to get you groovin'!"- GRATEFUL MUSIC , (2/11/14)

About BIG GIGANTIC:
Formed in 2008, saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli (classically trained with a master's degree in jazz from the Manhattan School of Music ) and drummer Jeremy Salken interpret traditional DJ-based music with live instruments and have successfully created an innovative, distinct sound that's all their own.
Their transcendent live shows are a showcase of brilliant improvisation and a tightly-knit bond between Salken and Lalli, who breathlessly alternates between keys, sax and laptop, building a futuristic wall of sound that keeps the crowd on its feet. The duo leaves no genre off-limits as they channel everything from funk and dubstep to house and hip-hop.
Their latest album, NOCTURNAL, was released in early 2012 via their own label BIG GIGANTIC Records as a free download on their website www.biggigantic.net and has received over 750,000 downloads to date. BIG GIGANTIC have spent the last two years on various sold-out headlining tours across the country and received rave reviews from their many festival appearances that have included Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, Hangout, Austin City Limits, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest and Outside Lands among many others.
