New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Late last year, the Nashville-based five-piece Blank Range released their sophomore EP titled Vista Bent on Sturdy Girls Records distributed via Thirty Tigers. Next month, the band will hit the road with The Wild Reeds for a string of dates on the west coast and throughout the south. Find a full list of tour dates below.

Today, American Songwriter premiered the band's first official music video for their song "Circumstances."

"This video started when our friend Kyle came along on a run to Savannah, GA and brought his Hi8 camcorder he grew up shooting skate videos on," explains Jonathan Childers. "We loved the quality of the candid footage he was getting and we loved having him along for the ride. Over the next year, he joined us whenever he could and ended up traveling as far as California, and then to Florida with the camcorder in tow. It just so happened he was in the studio filming on the day we recorded 'Circumstances.' When we looked back over the footage, we thought it formed a perfect companion to this song about a relationship growing distant as both parties' lives churned on. Also, we had a shot of San Francisco to use when I say 'California' and I thought that was pretty cool."

The Vista Bent EP was premiered in its entirety by Stereogum who said, "The four-track collection is a country-tinged drive down the highway with whiskey-soaked vocals and plenty of steel guitar. Blunted bell clangs and lively pop rock melodies of Vista Bent make for a happy compendium of '70s nostalgia, Nashville heartbreak, and subtle experimentation."

Stream the EP in its entirety via Spotify and purchase on iTunes and Bandcamp.

Glide Magazine reviewed the album and said, "The four song collection travels no distinct path or set of sonic moorings. Part cocaine country, part indie come garage rock, a few stoner, electronic brushstrokes and a heady, jazzier meld than most rock bands can muster."

Blank Range formed in Nashville in 2012 and released their debut EP Phase II in 2013. The band was met with great acclaim early on in their career, with Rolling Stone stating "It's inventive rock & roll free of prefixes and modifiers...an imaginary Lou Reed-Mac Demarco punk band, packed with so many clever, catchy riffs and rip-rolling percussion." Consequence of Sound said, "No idea how they captured the whole Mitch Ryder vibe, but their soulful Detroit scruff is uncanny, adding a little more fuzz to the base than, say, Merge darlings Reigning Sound...I haven't squeezed in a Big Star comparison yet, but the way Blank Range bounce off their scales is definitely akin to Alex Chilton's best work. Band rules."

Blank Range is comprised of Grant Gustafson (guitar & vocals), Jonathan Childers (guitar & vocals), Matt Novotny (drums & vocals), Will Brown (keyboards) and Taylor Zachry (bass & vocals).
