SAN DIEGO, CA. (Top40 Charts/ DIEGAN PR) - Britney Spears bounced back into the spotlight at THE HOUSE OF BLUES at THE DIEGAN in San Diego last night - the entertainment venue that forms part of the highly anticipated 5-star luxury condo-hotel, developed by renowned hotelier Steve Rebeil, scheduled to open later this year. The show was her first public concert appearance in nearly three years. Britney appeared to be back in top form and chose The House of Blues at THE DIEGAN in San Diego and its trendy Gaslamp Quarter as the venue for her comeback performance after a year of highs and lows. The 25-year-old mother of two appeared onstage wearing go-go boots with a short white skirt and skimpy pink top complete with a long brown wig covering her shaved head. She performed her classic hits including "Baby One More Time," complete with an air-bound choreographed dance routine. "Thanks everyone for coming," she told the club, filled to capacity. Local fans and San Diego residents paid more than $125 for a ticket to see a performance by 'The M&Ms' and to experience the near transformation of the entertainment venue that will boast a 23-story building complete with 161 luxury suites and 24 penthouses ranging from the high $400,000s to $3.8 million. An hour after the doors opened Spears' name was announced, to everyone's surprise. 'Britney's surprise performance demonstrates the appeal that San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter has as a new and emerging playground for the affluent and famous,' said developer Steve Rebeil. 'The House of Blues at THE DIEGAN will continue to host a full schedule of A-list performances, some of which I'm sure will be a surprise, while construction of The Diegan condo-hotel tops off next month, bringing a new dimension of entertainment, aesthetic and luxury to Southern California.'
