Shot on location in Toronto, the video is set in black and white with simple aesthetics letting the powerful lyrics of the track captivate audiences. The vulnerable and equally stripped down sound of the track are a nod to the artists early days of experimenting with music in her childhood bedroom with only a guitar. The song struck a cord with music fans and critics telling the universal story of young love growing stronger with age, through pain and beauty. "Two Punks in Love" quickly resonated with audiences globally; in Canada "Two Punks In Love," has found success at radio being the #1 most added track at Canadian radio in its first week of release; taking the top spot for #1 most added overall, #1 most added Top 40 and #1 most added at Hot AC.
