New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Northern Nights Music Festival) Celebrating this Independence Day and its Emerald Triangle roots on the border of Humboldt and Mendocino Counties, known to many as the epicenter of cannabis growth in the U.S., the 5th annual Northern Nights
Music Festival (NNMF) pioneers the path to freedom by ending the 80 year long prohibition and stigma around cannabis use and growth. Revolutionizing how cannabis will be incorporated into festivals for years to come, NNMF is excited to announce the expansion of its Medical Cannabis Zone into a full state-of-the-art "Tree Lounge" within the center of the festival. Available to medical cannabis prescription holders, the Tree Lounge will showcase over twenty Northern California cannabis collectives who have been perfecting their trade behind the Redwood curtain for generations. The lounge will also feature industry thought leaders, doctors on-site to give medical marijuana recommendations and issue cards to qualified patients, cannabis sampling, interactive installations, refreshments, meet-and-greets with headliners plus performances throughout the weekend on the Royal Gold Tree Stage.
Taking place July 14-16, 2017 just 3.5 hours north of San Francisco, on the festival grounds that has hosted Reggae On The River, Electric On The Eel and decades of events, NNMF's goal is to bring the city to the country and reflect the unity and diversity of the six Nor Cal music collectives that put on the festival by featuring over 90 internationally renowned and breakthrough electronic and hip hop musicians plus river swims, yoga, dancing, and camping amidst one of the most sought out destinations in the world - the California Redwoods.
The dawn of a new age for cannabis use and acceptance in the United States is undeniably here and music festivals will seek creative and unique ways to make progress with the new laws. Ideas like the NNMF's Tree Lounge are opening doors to a whole new financial market for festivals while giving promoters the ability to provide an even deeper and curated experience.
Within the safety of the Tree Lounge, attendees will be able to experience the exclusive "Yoga in the Grove" program curated by Bloom Farms. Also available will be North Bay Nectar providing cannabis infused and hemp infused massage oil for 6,000 massages with their innovative premiere cannabis infused body products made with organic ingredients. From the comfort of their own home, NNMF ticket holders will now be able obtain a cannabis recommendation online from PrestoDoctor and qualifying patients will receive a medical marijuana card at a discounted rate. NNMF ticketholders can email
[email protected] for a discount code. PrestoDoctor will also be available onsite to provide recommendations at their regular rates. Arriving with a current card has the advantage of expedited entry into the lounge.
Beyond the relaxing oasis of the Tree Lounge, the 5th Annual Northern Nights has curated exceptional experiential offerings including a new "Purple Nights" Art Gallery showcasing the works of the finest borosilicate glass artists from around the world. Other notable highlights of the festival is the beachside dance parties, afternoon river swims, a diverse lineup including Living Legends, Jai Wolf, Cherub, Big Wild, G Jones, Dirtwire,
Random Rab, and Justin Jay's Fantastic Voyage. The world class production in an intimate setting makes NNMF the perfect destination for city revelers to enjoy a farm to fest experience that is unlike any other. NNMF encourages all participants (18+) to activate their souls and smiles for three unforgettable days - no matter the path, you'll find a home for the weekend in the majestic forests of NorCal.
Dance, swim, run or float your way to The Emerald Triangle for an experience unlike any other.

About Northern Nights
Music Festival
A three-day celebration of music, art, food and local culture, the annual Northern Nights
Music Festival (NNMF) takes place every third weekend in July, this year falling on July 14th-16th. Now entering its fifth year, NNMF has created its home along the South Fork Eel River at Cook's Valley Campground, 3.5 hours north of San Francisco at the intersection of Mendocino and Humboldt counties. With a passion for celebrating emerging underground music and featuring the most sought-out producers and DJs from around the globe, the luminaries behind NNMF, San Francisco-based BLAP Productions and Humboldt's World Famous Productions, first came together in 2013 to achieve their vision. As their vision - and the festival - grew, the team welcomed production houses EPIC (Chico), Burningleaf Productions (Humboldt), Eye
Heart SF (San Francisco), and Euphoric
Styles (Santa Cruz), who collectively strive to sustain NNMF as a premiere destination experience. Offering attendees a unique opportunity to fully embrace a truly Californian experience. Aligning with the history and tradition of previous festivals in the region, a portion of NNMF proceeds from ticket and beverage sales are donated to the Mendocino and Humboldt school districts, nonprofits, and environmental groups.
