Celine Dion Cancels All Remaining North American Tour Dates For 2022
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Pop music phenomenon Celine Dion (My Heart Will Go On, It's All Coming Back to Me Now, The Power of Love) made a sad yet very necessary decision to cancel all of her remaining Canadian and U.S. venues for her 2022 Courage World Tour. The decision comes right on the heels of the artist delaying her Las Vegas residency which was set to begin in October of 2021.

Citing her continuing recovery from major and nonstop muscle spasms, Dion broke the news of her canceled tour this past weekend to her huge swath of disappointed yet understanding fans. The dates that have been effectively pulled from circulation are from March 9-April 22, encompassing the North American stretch of her worldwide tour. Up to this point in time, Dion has completed 52 of her North American venue stops, all of them before March 2020 when the happy days of a global pandemic descended upon the world, shutting almost everything down.
"I was really hoping that I'd be good to go by now, but I suppose I just have to be more patient and follow the regimen that my doctors are prescribing," the I'm Your Angel chanteuse shared in a statement. "There's a lot of organizing and preparation that goes into our shows, and so we have to make decisions today which will affect the plans two months down the road."

If you hang your fedora in Europe and count yourself as a Celine Dion aficionado, we at least have some good news for you: The European string of venue performances for Dion's world tour are still set to go on, beginning on May 25, 2022, in Brum City itself, Birmingham, England.
"I'll be so glad to get back to full health, as well as all of us getting past this pandemic, and I can't wait to be back on stage again," Dion concluded her statement. "Meanwhile, I've been very touched by all the words of encouragement that everyone's been sending to me on social media. I feel your love and support, and it means the world to me."

Tours come and go, Celine: What matters to all of us is that you use this time off to get better - Our hearts will always go on for you (end of cheesy Titanic references…)!
