Center For Infectious Disease Research Partners With Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Center for Infectious Disease Research has announced it will be the official nonprofit partner of Bumbershoot - a celebration of music, art and creativity - held each Labor Day weekend at Seattle Center.

"We are excited to be partnering with Bumbershoot and AEG Live," said Edward Jenkins, director of marketing and communications at the Center for Infectious Disease Research. "Both Bumbershoot and the Center for Infectious Disease Research have been a part of the Seattle community for over 40 years and this partnership will help support and raise awareness for our mission of developing lifesaving interventions for the infectious diseases that claim the lives of 14 million people every year."

As part of the partnership, AEG Live will donate a portion of each ticket sold to the Center for Infectious Disease Research and encourage fans to support the organization through an additional donation at the point of sale.

"AEG Live is proud to be partnering with the Center for Infectious Disease Research," said Rob Thomas, vice president of AEG Live Pacific Northwest. "Partnerships such as this one are critical for raising community awareness for the great work being conducted by nonprofit organizations such as the Center for Infectious Disease Research."

This is the first year that Bumbershoot is partnering with a nonprofit and this collaboration will help spread global health and infectious disease research awareness throughout the greater Seattle community. To support the cause, please visit www.CIDResearch.org or purchase tickets for Bumbershoot at www.bumbershoot.com.
