BRENTWOOD, TN. (Sparrow Records) -
Chris Tomlin enjoys the thrill of playing his Avalon S25 acoustic guitar, both in studio and on stage.
As thousands upon thousands of fans enjoy worship artist Chris Tomlin's new album, ARRIVING, and his special guest performances on Steven Curtis Chapman's current All Things New Tour, Tomlin enjoys the thrill of playing his Avalon S25 acoustic guitar, both in studio and on stage.
Joining the growing list of top musicians endorsed by the Ireland-based guitar maker (including Caedmon's Call and international pop act The Corrs), Tomlin says, "I am grateful to Avalon guitars for letting me use such a wonderful instrument. Their service and integrity speaks for itself in every guitar."
Tomlin plays the handcrafted, small-bodied Avalon S25 on ARRIVING; his fastest-selling album to date that features the No 1 hit "Indescribable," and has received top reviews from Knight Ridder News Service, Amazon.com, CCM, REVELANT, Worship Musician, and ChristianityToday.com. It is also his guitar of choice on the All Things New Tour, with Chapman and Casting Crowns, which runs through spring 2005.
Miles McKee, North American director for the guitar company, says Avalon is committed to excellence and has endeavored to reflect this in creating Tomlin's guitar. "When someone like Chris is out there ministering for the glory of God, it only makes sense that we create a guitar which will complement his purpose and serve him in his calling."
Prior to the breakthrough release of ARRIVING, which debuted all the way up at No 39 on the national all-genre Billboard album chart, churches worldwide were already singing Tomlin songs like "The Wonderful Cross," "Forever," and "Famous One."
