NASHVILLE, TN. (Gospel Music Association) - Niles Borop - the only non performing songwriter to ever be twice nominated "Songwriter of the Year" by the Gospel Music Association. He is the only writer to win "Song of the Year" by both the GMA "ViaDolorosa" and the National Quartet Convention Singing News Fan Awards. "We Need to Thank God". With over four thousand recordings of his songs, Niles has been recorded by the whose who of Christian Music � Steven Curtis Chapman, Rich Mullens, Sandy Patti, Steve Green, The Cathedrals, The Martins, Albatina Walker, The Mighty Clouds of Joy. Niles has won three Dove Awards, six ASCAP awards, 5 BMI awards and as a writer and music publisher he had had over 60 number one songs in various markets. In 1993 Niles started Centergy Music Group, Inc. with ten thousand dollars in working capitol and in 12 years built it into a major player in Southern Gospel and Church inspirational markets. Centergy had three of the four top songs in 2004 according to Singing news Magazine and has controlled at least 10% of the Southern Gospel Chart since 1996. Centergy has provided to the Church many of the best selling choral works of the last ten years such as "It's Still The Cross" and "Bow the Knee".

Jeff Pearson has hosted the Bluebird Caf�'s Songwriters night for 16 years, written for Centergy Music for 10 and ' years. Jeff has been the Director of Children's Ministries at St. Paul Southern Methodist Church in Nashville for 10 years and has been the music leader at the National Presbyterian Youth conference in Montreat, NC for 5 years. Jeff and his wife, Becky have performed at numerous churches around the country. Jeff has had songs recorded by The Oak Ridge Boys, David Phelps of The Gaither Vocal Band, Jeff and Shari Easter, Gold City, Misty Freeman, The Telestials,, Mended Wings, Ivan Parker, Ann Downing, FourFold, Three for One, The Pfeifers, Jessica King, The Southern Brothers, The Shiloh Quartet, Jim Stafford, Barbara Mandrell, Randy Van Warmer and Hank Williams, Jr. Jeff has had songs in "Newsong", a Presbyterian songbook,"Made for Praise" children's songbooks,"Mountain Homecoming video with Bill Gaither and the Homecoming Friends", and the title song in the number one selling Christmas musical in Word Music" history, "Christmas is Jesus".

* The art of co-writing Christian songs

There will be a question/answer session with Niles and Jeff session as part of the event. Jeff and Becky Pearson will perform a concert to end the workshop.
