Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Somis Sound) - Somis Sound and My Dog Oska Inc. are proud to present Silence, the debut album of solo artist and renowned photographer Deborah Anderson, on Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Her first single track off Silence, 'Paperthin' is being released in conjunction with her new limited edition coffee table book Paperthin (Verlhac) on December 10, 2008. The 'Paperthin' music video will also debut tonight at a private event, hosted by Minotti in Los Angeles.

Each track sold on iTunes will be accompanied by an image shot by Anderson for Paperthin. As a multimedia artist, lyrics from Anderson's Silence grace the book's photographic images of nude or semi-clothed subjects in 1930s settings, including Minnie Driver, Fergie, P!nk, Natasha Henstridge and Tilda Swinton.

Anderson was first signed to Island Records for a one-off drum and bass single that climbed the ladder to the top of the European dance charts in 1998, which led her to signing with independent label Mowax. She has collaborated as singer/songwriter with artists including Kruder & Dorfmeister, DJ Shadow and Zero 7. She was recently featured on Angel Music, the latest offering from the Grammy Award-nominated electronica band Telepopmusik.

With the versatility and ease of Apple's GarageBand program, Anderson started to write Silence at night in the quiet of her guesthouse. Over two years, she recorded 10 tracks featuring orchestral instruments, percussion, beats, piano, guitar and vocals. Additional bass lines, production, and mixing were contributed by producer Erik "E-Rok" Richards (Beck, Peter DiStefano, DjmeDjyou).

Silence will be released worldwide February 10, 2009 to digital stores, including iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Audio Lunchbox, among others. Silence and Paperthin will be featured in-room at the New York City- and South Beach-based Gansevoort Hotels.

The first of three children, Deborah Anderson was born in London in the early 70's to Jennifer, a photographer that inspired Deborah's passion for photography, and legendary rock vocalist Jon Anderson of the band YES. Deborah's photography has graced the pages of many magazines-from GQ, ELLE and Cosmopolitan, to FHM, Playboy, L.A. Confidential, Architectural Digest and Avenue. She also had a brief encounter working in the fashion world as a vintage clothing designer.
