TORONTO, Canada (MuchMusic) - It's all about access - and once again, MuchMusic is at the centre of extreme audience buzz, confirming a one time 'special edition' episode of their critically-acclaimed Gonna Meet A Rock Star (GMARS) series, featuring pop superstar Avril Lavigne.

GMARS is back by popular demand, Saturday, April 19th @ 8pm ET - and fans can enter now online at https://www.muchmusic.com or via snailmail, letting us know why they are Canada's #1 Avril fan, and exactly why they should be chosen to meet her. Creativity is encouraged - audio, video, photos, poems, essays - whatever fans decide is going to get the attention of the Much panel of judges. Deadline for entry is March 28 th, 2003 at midnight ET.

Between 2000 and 2002 MuchMusic created 20 GMARS specials - with top artists including Nelly, Limp Bizkit and Destiny's Child on board. Fans from across Canada frantically entered for the chance to travel to a secret location (recording studios, photo shoots, backstage parties etc.) to spend some time one-on-one with their musical idols.
