Donna Lugassy Announces Solo EP Love & Breakups And Shares 'Coldest' Single
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Singer-songwriter Donna Lugassy will be releasing 'Coldest' with B-side 'Break Up', the second single off her upcoming EP, Love & Breakups. The single premiered via Girls Are Awesome and will be released on the 21st February, whilst the EP comes out on 13th March via Lugassy Records.
Lugassy was featured in the track, 'Take My Breath Away' by VINAI and 22Bullets, and Kittball Records' Robosonic & Ferreck Dawn's 'Were There' single as well as contributing towards producer and DJ, Sidney Samson's Deadly Zoo project under Spinnin' Records with both vocals and songwriting skills. Lugassy has been picked up by several tastemaker Youtube channels including Spinnin' Records, MrRevillz, La Belle Musique, Basshall Movement, FunX and Tribal Trap, which has contributed towards her impressive play count of just under 4 million across streaming platforms. Having produced, composed and mixed the EP herself, Lugassy continues to impress.

Donna Lugassy was raised in the Netherlands with a family life of mixed cultural heritage, with a Dutch mother and a father of Israeli/Maroccan descent. By 10 years old, Lugassy's talent was recognised and she was placed in singing lessons and at 14, she began producing her own music, having grown tired of waiting on others. In the later years, she received her Senior General Secondary Education from Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam.

During the making of Love & Breakups, Lugassy predominantly listened to D'Angelo's Brown Sugar album. The syncopation of D'Angelo's style is reflected throughout her album while the maturity and deep, rich vocals of Beyoncé spring to mind. However, it's the talent and dynamic stylings of SZA and Solange that one is reminded of as they listen to 'Coldest'.

'Coldest' carries Donna Lugassy's smooth vocals to new heights as she narrates the second step in her relationships. With the overall EP focusing on phases of her love life flows through, 'Coldest' portrays the singer as head over heels in love. The tracks name is derived from the slang of calling someone dope or cool, embracing the idea that everyone thinks their significant other is the "coolest". 'Break Up' is aptly named, focusing on when Lugassy rejects her lover and begins to "get a real big attitude with them". This attitude is reflected in her low, rhythmic way of presenting the lyrics and the supporting bassline.

Lugassy shares her rhapsodic thoughts "You are the coldest in all the best ways. You're icey like my jewellery, you're the icing on top of my cake, I like the summer but you made winter great."

Love & Breakups EP Tracklist:
1. Moonrise
2. Coldest
3. Nobody (loves like I do)
4. Break Up
5. How Bout You
6. I Wish
