LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) From July 21-24, Arcadia will be one of nearly 100 communities in Southern California that will be hosting the 10,000 athletes and coaches from the 170 countries involved in the Special Olympic World Games- Los Angeles 2015. Prior to the games, the
Embassy Suites Arcadia - Pasadena Area will host athletes from Trinidad, Tobago, and the Kyrgyz Republic while they get acclimated to being in a new country. The Opening Ceremonies at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will be held on July 25 and daily competitions will run through August 2.

The 2015 Special Olympics World Games will be the largest sports and humanitarian event anywhere in the world, and the single biggest event in Los Angeles since the 1984 Olympic Games. The 2015 Special Olympics World Games will feature 25 Olympic-style sports in venues throughout the Los Angeles region. ESPN will bring coverage of World Games to millions of fans around the world.
