Emily Kinney Shares "Drunk And Lost" Via Paste Magazine
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Singer-songwriter and actress Emily Kinney debuts "Drunk and Lost" exclusively via Paste Magazine. Another taste of her upcoming album 'Oh, Jonathan,' the track demonstrates Kinney's refined pop sensibilities, with a vocal melody that showcases her dynamic range over a strong backing beat.

"Drunk and Lost" tells a story, recalling the many evenings when Kinney would run into her crush -- and the album's namesake -- Jonathan at parties and reveling in the continued attempt to minimize the awkwardness and wrangle the best talking points. "I give the listener some good excuses so they don't have to worry about me getting too clingy later." Kinney explains. "A guy that I was close to for a long time doesn't drink and we would talk about how when you don't drink, you have to actually own up to all your decisions as real choices you made, you can't detach emotionally and blame it on something else anymore."

In recent years, Kinney has cemented herself as a "double-threat musician you need to know" (Esquire), showcasing her skills as both an actor and songwriter. In acting, Kinney's transitioned from her young role as Beth Greene on AMC's hit tv show 'The Walking Dead,' where her music and singing were often featured, to more mature roles in shows like 'Masters of Sex,' 'Ten Days in the Valley,' and to her current gig as an emotional, tenacious mother of a young girl battling cancer in the upcoming Netflix series 'Messiah.'
