Engelbert Humperdinck Premiere's Latest Single 'How Can You Mend A Broken Heart'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Unless it is completely rewritten, putting out covers of legendary singles is no easy task. A sense of originality has to be added with a sprinkle of new ingredients, giving people a reason as to why they should come and listen to this version. At the same time, since people have already been seduced by the original recipe, it might be wise to include the elements of familiarity that caused that. Finding equilibrium between the two can be difficult, but for Engelbert Humperdinck, this is of course no problem.

Today Engelbert releases his latest single, covering the Bee Gees' first ever US #1 hit, 'How Can You Mend A Broken Heart'. As one of the leading British pop singers to have stood the test of time, it is no surprise that everything he touches seems to gracefully sparkle. 'How Can You Mend A Broken Heart' is of no exception; with its sombre tone, it's a classic pop love ballad, decorated by a slight country twang. An almost perfect slow pace for rekindling old memories.

Marking as the second instalment to an upcoming EP, the single follows a beautiful rendition of Barry White's 'You're The First, The Last, My Everything'. The EP follows a second burst of popularity for some of Engelbert's greatest hits. Appearing in the likes of TV shows Moon Knight and Umbrella Academy as well as Brad Pitt's feature film Bullet Train. Media has a funny way of finding revival in music, like Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' from Netflix's Stranger Things or perhaps Fleetwood Mac's 'Dreams' through Tik Tok, but now could it be Engelbert's time?

Engelbert Humperdinck's rendition of 'How Can You Mend A Broken Heart' is a spectacular display of an artist that very much still has it, putting his own spin on an everlasting love song.
