Example To Be Keynote Speaker At The Institute's Careers Day
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance is proud to announce that BRIT Award-nominated and chart-topping rapper and singer Example will be the Keynote Speaker at our upcoming Careers Day on Wednesday the 14th of October 2015. Example will be discussing various aspects of his career as a musician and a creative and business entrepreneur, including physical and mental well-being and the challenges of the music industry.

Other speakers at the event will include Mike Smith, Vice-President of A&R at Virgin/EMI Records (The Libertines, Iggy Azalea, The Vamps); Simon Jones, Vice President of Live Music at AEG Live (Ed Sheeran, London Grammar, Emili Sande); and Toby L, co-founder of Transgressive Records (Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, Regina Spektor).

The Institute抯 Careers Day is open to all current students, alumni and guests, who will be welcomed into the school for a full day of panels, speakers and presentations covering a whole range of topics, centred around having a successful career in the music industry. During the day, students will have an amazing opportunity to get one-on-one feedback on their music from A&R representatives from Virgin/EMI Records, Polydor Records, and Relentless Records.

Panels on the day will discuss topics such as how to tour successfully, how to get signed by a record label, and how to build your fanbase. During the event there will also be an Alumni Q&A with Institute graduates including Louise Bartle, who has just become the new drummer for Bloc Party, Cherie Jones, who was recently featured on Later with Jools Holland, and Victoria Becks, an artist manager with Tileyard.
