Groundbreaking Future Bass Disco Duo Esofact Announce EP And Share 'Yuri' Single Via Complex!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Esofact, the dynamic collaboration of Urple Eeple (Peter Farr) and Isturite's (Kevin Welch) has premiered 'Yuri' via COMPLEX. The track is taken from their new self-titled debut EP to be released on 31 January via Chillage Records. Their previous release, 'Blocks' was featured on Hype Machine blogs Acid Stag, and Aupium. The duo's single 'Money' was premiered on Nest HQ, and received support from YourEDM and Booms & Claps. As head of Chillage Records, Farr has seen support from publications such as Mixmag, Nest HQ, The 405, Purple Sneakers, YourEDM, FGUKMag, Complex UK, and The Waxhole, and has been remixed by artists such as Pixelord, Sweatson Klank, Dakat and Conrad Clifton. As Isturite, Welch has released a series of hit singles on Crunksauce and Goop Chronicles compilations, including his groundbreaking Disclosure remix, and has performed at festivals such as Priceless, Lucidity and Firedrums. Between them, the duo have performed at a string of festivals including Treefort Music Fest, Stilldream Festival and Emissions Bass Culture Festival, sharing stages with the likes of Thundercat, Nosaj Thing, Aesop Rock, and Plastician to name a few.

Based in California and Los Angeles respectively, Farr and Welch met in their teens and would go to endless festivals together, teaching each other about music production throughout the years. They both played the guitar as youngsters and later fell in love with electronic music through early rave culture. They eventually decided to collaborate and released their first single as Esofact in 2014. 'I've Got That' was groundbreaking and began to define 'future' as a new way of approaching musical compositions.

Drawing influence from the likes of Pusher, Ekali, Gillepsy, Troyboi, Mercy, Geotheory and Val, a soulful beat-driven sound emerges. Esofact draws parallels to acts such as Cashmere Cat and Flume with their future bass sound while artists such as Dimitri From Paris and FKJ spring to mind with the future disco elements.

Esofact opens with 'Honey Drip', presenting destabilizing atmospheres and expansive textures which set the scene for the rest of the EP. The pair take future bass sound to the next level by integrating future disco sounds and creating their own subgenre. By the time the listener reaches 'Rollin', a precedent has been set with driving futuristic rhythms. However, a fresh element is presented with deep male vocalising, which is eventually distorted and modernised. The overall EP is a conducive yet groovy production, coming together with small interesting echoing elements throughout the four tracks. 'Yuri' shines out amongst the tracks, with an almost frantic pace set to a waterfall of electronic sounds. However, where other artists may allow the result to become messy, ESOFACT displays their technical talent by reigning the energy in, providing all of the raw magnetic power while not overwhelming their listeners.

Esofact shares their enthusiasm for releasing their debut EP; "We're extremely excited to share our debut EP with the world. We wanted this release to embody the feel good future genre in a way that no one had quite approached it before. Our compositions are intricate and we explore the idea of multiple key changes to communicate large story arcs. Between the use of synths and found sounds, along with relatively experimental compositions we are very proud of what this EP brings to the future beats/bass genre".
