New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Country music has had its fair share of iconic couples - Johnny and June, George and Tammy, and more. On August 25, new husband-wife duo, The Mizes, featuring Logan Mize and Jill Martin, are reviving the spirit of these classic country music couples with a modern twist with their debut 'The Mizes' via Big Yellow Dog Music. The new music is a rebirth of "the funny-fight masterpieces created by Loretta & Conway, Porter & Dolly and George & Tammy" (MusicRow).

'The Mizes' opens with a countrified rendition of The Dixie Cups' "Chapel Of Love" followed by five songs, all co-written by the duo, that give an inside look at marriage without the sugar-coating or rose-colored glasses. These dynamic songs explore everything from the honeymoon phase to the burnout to the magic of having kids, life around the house and more - delivering a raw, honest perspective on marriage with a heavy dose of humor.
"We are so excited our EP 'The Mizes' is finally out," say The Mizes. "We sing about love, marriage, happiness, sadness, and taxes. We hope you can relate and we can't wait to play these songs for you live!"

The Mizes dive into spousal trouble on cheeky tracks like 90's country-influenced "The Honeymoon" and twang and comedy-heavy "Hitched Up," while the carefree "Love's The Only Thing Working" finds the couple leaning on love in the midst of broken appliances and leaky roofs. "Trouble In Paradise" tells the story of how a marriage can struggle despite "having it all," and on the heartwarming "Look What Our Love Made," The Mizes sit back and appreciate the hard work they've put into marriage and the blessings that come from it.

The Mizes will share an official music video for "The Honeymoon" on Monday, August 28th at 10 AM CT.

While the Mizes grew up only 30 minutes away from each other in Kansas, they didn't meet until years later in Nashville, where they were both aspiring songwriters. They married in 2010 and moved back to Kansas to start their family. The two have collaborated on each other's solo music in the past, but The Mizes marks the pair's first true joint outing.
