LOS ANGELES (www.iconoclasttheband.com) - As the music industry struggles in the digital age, an independent band has managed for the first time to break into the Billboard Top 20. ICONOCLAST literally means "Image Breaker", and this New Wave Christian Band is breaking the traditional image of the road to success.

Dallas isn't exactly on the beaten path for recording artists, but when ICONOCLAST released their debut album "Burn Your Bridges" it produced a Top 20 and Top 40 radio hit nationwide, driving sales of their album though both "brick-and-mortar" and "click-to-order" channels.

Billboard charted the single "Walk On In" entering the Hot Christian Songs at number 38 and rising to top 18 within three weeks, eventually cracking the top 14. Billboard Online magazine recently published an article on the phenomenal rise, the best recorded showing of any independent band in any music genre - Rock, Hot/Pop, Christian, Country or R&B. The success of ICONOCLAST outside the music industry mainstream is a bell weather signal to an industry searching for a post-internet business model.
Within a year of forming in 2004, ICONOCLAST performed live for over 100,000 at Celebrate Freedom 2005, the single largest Outdoor Christian Concert in the nation.

Fueled by four-star reviews from Christianity Today, who consider ICONOCLAST "poised and innovative enough to follow in the footsteps of such Lone Star greats Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band and Caedmon's call" and online reviews by Grassroots who summed up the hot selling "Burn Your Bridges" as "One of the best debut albums I've heard so far this year, this is a Must-Have, with a capital MUST", ICONOCLAST is having difficulty keeping distribution channels stocked due to demand.

Traditional brick-and-mortar retailer Lifeway Christian Stores who has a growing online presence, named "Burn Your Bridges" one of the "Best of 2005", while iTunes listeners gave ICONCLAST four and a half stars.

Leveraging their success, the band has returned to the studio for yet another recording session, designed to produce more original material and remix the music video track of the popular single "Reveal" to a length more suitable for radio play.

ICONOCLAST continues to blaze the trail, leading the "New Wave" of the music business. Details on the summer nationwide ICONOCLAST tour with an established national Christian group will follow in a separate release. For more information on ICONOCLAST, contact ICONOCLAST Productions.
