New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Accomplished musician and composer Jackson Mico Milas unveils his debut album this November. 'Blu Terra' brings together eleven tender and emotive compositions and finds the British artist hitting his stride.

New single 'The Bay Fire' follows 'White Noise', which Earmilk described as "a record that feels so good to hear you will want to keep it on repeat and in rotation for time to come", and previous single 'Lost In Seasons', which BBC 6 Music's Cerys Matthews described as "So beautiful" after playing it on her show.

On 'The Bay Fire', Jackson's delicate piano, soft vocals and sweeping atmospherics are at their most potent. Carefully placed touches of subtle saxophone, strings and electronics make a sumptuous evolving background for this deep and melancholic track. Like the flickering flames of a 'Bay Fire' the track is an esoteric experience, elusive in its structure, giving the listener a personal moment of reflection and poignancy, stirring an emotional response.

The accompanying video for 'The Bay Fire' is the second of three videos which will progressively expand visually to narrate the 'Blu Terra' album's journey to its November 2022 release. The visual captures the introspective nature of the track perfectly, with Jackson performing the song alone in a secluded warehouse with his gorgeous vocal harmonies escalating to epic effect, while nostalgic scenes from the past are interspersed, leaving the viewer immersed in a vital experience.

Having cut his teeth at New York's Nylon Studios, Jackson carved out a career with award-winning film and TV scores including a long-standing collaboration with Tim Minchin on the acclaimed Sky Atlantic drama 'Upright'.

On 'Blu Terra', Jackson comes of age, and delivers a mature and elegant suite of compositions encompassing acoustic, alt-folk and jazz elements to set up soaring and heartfelt songs. The LP features a cast of great players, including string arrangement on 'June' from Elliott Wheeler (Musical Director/Composer on ELVIS), and Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie 'Blackstar'), and Troy Simms (Lee Scratch Perry). The album is released on Apollo, the home to ground-breaking talent such as Aphex Twin, Nadine Shah, Synkro, Biosphere and many more over its 30-year tenure.
'The Bay Fire' by Jackson Mico Milas is available on Apollo from 16th September on all streaming services.
