New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Universal Music Group) - Rock Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, as well as Active Duty Army Staff Sergeant, Jaimz Woodard returned from a yearlong deployment to Iraq at the beginning of August...and ended up with a unique welcome home gift. The gift was a Major Label Distribution deal with JMD Records/ INgrooves/ Universal Music Group, and will release his EP, "Devil's Advocate" worldwide on October 15, 2010. This album is a lyrical and guitar driven effort whose songs have not only garnered great reviews for the lyrical content but for the diversity from track to track. "Devil's Advocate" transitions from Alt rock, to a form of what Jaimz calls "Alternative Blues" to tracks with an electronic NIN sort of feel.

Jaimz Woodard, who is originally from the Baton Rouge, LA area, and now resides in Junction City, Kansas is a 30 year old rock musician that joined the U.S. Army in 2001 as a medic and decided to give up his musical aspirations, yet was continually compelled to pick up a guitar, or do whatever else musically he could. After playing with local bands around the Fort Bragg, NC area, Woodard was assigned to the Army Entertainment Detachment and went on tour as the Audio Engineer for the 2005 U.S. Army Soldier Show. After touring he returned to San Antonio, TX and began building a studio and writing some of the material that is featured on "Devil's Advocate."

Woodard deployed to Iraq in August 2009, and continue writing and self-promoting his music in the limited amount of free time he had in a combat zone, and found a truly unique sound and a fan base that has been supportive.

The EP, "Devil's Advocate," is a mixture of songs written both in Iraq and before deployment, Woodard felt this mixture was a great place to start and tell the continual story he plans to tell with his music.
Be sure to check out, his website and listen to some of the songs featured on the album. www.jaimzwoodard.com
