New York, NY (Top40 Charts) UK singer/songwriter, James Millier, first found musical success when he made two appearances on The X Factor; one at the request of the show, who asked James' choir to sing personally for the judges, including Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland. Now, James turns his musical talent into a lifesaving cause as he sings for his mum in his new single, 'This Life', released 19 October. James wrote the song after his mum was diagnosed with a rare and life-threatening condition called Scleroderma. Now, James Millier teams up with the Scleroderma charity, SRUK, to raise awareness for this condition in the hope that he helps save lives.

Scleroderma is a rare condition where the body starts to attack its own healthy cells; it can affect anyone at any age. Because the condition is rare, with 19 people in a million being diagnosed every year, sufferers often don't recognise their symptoms in enough time to treat the condition fast enough. If symptoms are recognized faster, help can be given earlier, giving the best chance of a successful outcome. When James' mum was diagnosed with Scleroderma, he knew he had to do something dramatic to help, so he used his lyrical pen to craft, 'This Life', a song he hopes will help raise greater awareness for the condition and its charity,

"My mum has always been the driving force and inspiration behind my music, so when she was diagnosed with Scleroderma, it seemed totally natural to write a song about this very rare condition. It felt that music would make a relevant connection with people in a way they'd understand. So 'This Life' pays homage to all the sufferers in the world and shines a spotlight on a condition which could be treated more successfully if more people knew about it," comments James.

'This Life' is released on Millier Music on 19 October and James is working alongside the SRUK charity to raise as much awareness for this rare condition as possible; because this life will be better when more people are aware of scleroderma.
