New York, NY (Top40 Charts) At just 19 years old Julia Ivory tells a story which portrays a depth of understanding far beyond her early years. The Sydney-based singer-songwriter, who has recently revealed her struggles with mental health and an Anorexia diagnosis writes poignantly on her website:
"I kept filling my dreams with nightmares of perfection. It was so damaging. This dark path I was now walking along started in early 2020 with my diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa."
After a brief step away from music due to the pressures she was facing, Julia found her way back to songwriting as a sort of therapy. It was during this time of recovery that she penned new single To The Bone, late at night, feeling the freedom to pour out everything without judgement. Delicately produced with just a piano accompaniment, To The Bone is beautiful and vulnerable in its honesty.
"I hope this song resonates with you in any way, but mostly to give hope for recovery and growth."
