New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Singer/songwriter KAMAE INIGUEZ released the first of her 14 track collection "MEET YOU IN MY DREAMS" on 3rd September, with "ENDLESS MOONLESS NIGHT"'.
The release of "ENDLESS MOONLESS NIGHT" launches the next chapter in Kamae Iniguez's journey into the music scene as part of a compilation of 14 original tracks, all self-written by Kamae, except for one duet track, which was co-written with another artist. Much like "ENDLESS MOONLESS NIGHT", you can expect all 14 tracks within "MEET YOU IN MY DREAMS" to be pop-driven, sprinkled with creative visual elements in the songwriting and composition. Kamae's "pop songwriting" is the amalgamation of her eclectic and broad music taste. The narrative of her tracks is influenced by folk artists like Passenger, whereas her production and imagery present more towards synth-pop/electronic music artists such as Owl City.
When producing "MEET YOU IN MY DREAMS", Kamae and her main producer Joe Garratt of The Online Recording Studio summarised the ethos of the songs on the album as "Space is lonely and grand at the same time". You can expect a whole host of astronomical terms, allusions to adventure, alongside romantic encounters reflected in the tracks. These scenarios were built from Kamae's vivid story-telling mind, which drove such magical lyrics and tales.
The lead single, "ENDLESS MOONLESS NIGHT", is a lush electronic track, with layers of pop and a catchy lyrical rift that will get inside your head. The lyrics are reminiscent of an old-school
Taylor Swift song, with rebellious punk elements to drive the romantic narrative.
"ENDLESS MOONLESS NIGHT" is only the second release from Kamae. Her first single, "GREAT UNKNOWN", was released in 2020, with music always on the horizon throughout her life. Born and raised in the Philippines, her earliest musical memory was singing "
A Whole New World" while jumping on a mattress, mic in hand, while 'spitting rice on the mic'. If you were to ask Kamae as a child what she'd like to be when she grew up, she wouldn't have said a singer/songwriter, but performance, producing and creativity was always there in the background.
Around ten years ago, Kamae finally decided to step into the light and begin writing original songs. She would consider herself a bedroom songwriter, but she's unique in that she decided to jump right in and make an album immediately after her first single was produced. Towards the end of working with producer Joe Garratt on "GREAT UNKNOWN", Kamae began producing the album as she knew that Joe could execute the vision of the collection. Skipping the EP route, Kamae could not imagine the collection of songs in "MEET YOU IN MY DREAMS" ever being released separately, as they're all part of the same journey for the listener.
"I was "crazy" enough to release all 14 tracks together because it came down to the thought of "I don't want to die and have my songs stored in a hard drive, never fully realized or reaching their potential, only for people to discover them when I'm gone." - Kamae
Alongside writing and assisting with the production of 14 tracks, Kamae has also proven her kudos in creative songwriting by coming highly commended in two worldwide songwriting competitions. In 2020, she came in the top 9% of more than 26,000 in the International Songwriting Competition with her track "GREAT UNKNOWN". Then, in 2021, she broke into the top 12% of almost 10,000 entries in the Unsigned Only Competition with "ENDLESS MOONLESS NIGHT".

Alongside being a self-confessed quirky character, when she's not writing or producing new tracks, she gravitates towards how little elements contribute towards a bigger picture in her own life. Whether it's creative expression through drawing, experimenting on recipes or redecorating her studio apartment, she's always adding sparkle.
