LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Daybreak Music) - Children's music producer and composer Dennis Scott has done it again. Following on the heels of a recent regional Emmy win, the two-time Grammy and Emmy award recipient has just been nominated for a Daytime Emmy award in the category of Music Direction and Arranging

Dennis was previously nominated for a Daytime Emmy for a song featured on "Guiding Light." This latest nomination is for his work as music director of the popular TV series, BJ's Teddy Bear Club which currently airs on TBN. The show will begin production on it's second season later this Spring. The winners of the Daytime Emmys are to be announced a special awards ceremony in Los Angeles, on June 14th. Says Scott, "It's an honor to be nominated along side such legendary shows as 'Sesame Street' and 'Reading Rainbow.'

Interestingly, Dennis' songs have part of Sesame Street for a number of years. His first Grammy award was for 'Sesame Country' - an album that featured Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Tanya Tucker, and Crystal Gayle as well as favorites such as Big Bird and Cookie Monster. More recently, top country stars Alison Krauss and Sugarland performed Dennis' songs on Sesame Street.

His most recent Grammy award was for 'Songs From the Neighborhood - The Music of Mister Rogers' which featured such artists as Jon Secada, Roberta Flack, Crystal Gayle, BJ Thomas, Ricky Skaggs, Maureen McGovern, John Pizarelli, and Donna Summer. The album won as Best Musical Recording for Children.

The regional Emmy award that Dennis received earlier this year was for the music and songs he created for BJ''s Teddy Bear Club. The show is a production of Mags Entertainment and features a lovable teddy Bear character which Dennis originally created for an audio project. Dennis stated, "I can't believe the success which has come from this one, cute little bear."

Dennis is currently in the throws of producing a Christmas album for Nashville based Greenhill Music. The recording, "Kids Christmas Party," features kids singing new arrangements of perennial favorites as well as two of Scott's original songs. "I love taking well known material and giving it a new twist."

Scott has written music for the PBS series "Noddy" and live touring shows such as "Clifford," "Sesame Street" and Scholastic's "Magic School Bus." His TV credits include "Who's The Boss," "Fame," "Sesame Street," "Elmopalooza," "Guiding Light" and others.
