NEW YORK (Natty Posse Entertainment) - On Tuesday, May 17th 2005 Kidd Rasta & The Peacemakers, along with Natty Posse Entertainment, UrBANSPACEonline.tv, CKLN & CHRY present the release of Whose Planet Is It Anyway? at the Reverb, 651 Queen St. West.

Musically, this album is a wild mix of style and sound, while the theme remains to stand up and fight as you live and love.

Two albums have already shaken the streets of Toronto; this is the album that will shake the world. Nine Miles [1999] and Musical Messengers [2002] were released with critical acclaim. Kidd Rasta and the Peacemakers toured Europe and North America spreading their infectious reggae-pop fusion and positive message. Now, they are set to do so again with some help from new players and influences.

Band-leader, Kidd Rasta [Clement De Luca], was joined in the making of this new album by Asian Dub Foundation member and drummer Rocky Singh. The album began its creation on the road in 2003 while Kidd Rasta was touring England and Italy with ADF.

The first songs of Whose Planet Is It Anyway? were written by Kidd Rasta and Singh as the tour ended. With Rocky Singh producing and playing, Kidd Rasta found new inspiration for conscious and eloquent lyrics and melodies.

Whose Planet Is It Anyway? heralds some important expansions in musical scope for Kidd Rasta, known already for his daring fusion of roots reggae with pop and ska. The new project injects breakbeat & electronic rhythms into the dub mix, hitherto foreign to the reggae market, but already well established as a musical form by bands like ADF, Bedouin Soundclash and Primal Scream. This CD invites rock, breaks and two-step-garage enthusiasts alike to enjoy the Kidd Rasta experience.

Kidd Rasta & the Peacemakers are already known for their energetic stage shows and lively proliferation of good vibes and great music. This show promises to enlighten, expand and exhilarate the audience's perception of music bringing together listeners of Reggae, Breaks 'n' Garage, Dub and Rock music.
