New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ VisionMusic Promotions) Krista Papista is an electronic musician/ producer/ performer based in London. The Cypriot/ Australian Krista Papista has been producing her own material since the age of 13. Her main influences are: Elvis, Bowie, Chet Baker and Carl Jung.
Krista's music is characterized by her soulful vocals which are accompanied by penetrating beats, cinematic sounds and raw lyrics that are fuelled with sarcasm and contradictions. Papista describes her distinctive sound as "Sordid Pop".
Krista has performed at numerous venues around London (East bloc, 93 feet east, Candy Bar etc) and has also played at festivals around Europe (Womens International Festival, 2nd Athens Music Festival, Summer Love Fest).
In 2012 she self-released her album "Krista Papista" and has collaborated with DJ/ producer Jimmy Edgar on a remix of her single "Dirty Boy Dancer", released in April 2013. Today Papista is working on both collborative projects and material for her new album that will be released this Autumn 2013.
"Pomoiselle"
The song is an angry cynical outburst that talks about "Dysphoria".
The lyrics are narrated by Krista Papista's fictional character Femme Fatale "Pomoiselle".
Pomoiselle observes human's social anxiety behavior and throws sarcastic remarks upon it.
