New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Brighton-based artist and musician LUCY FELIZ is pleased to reveal the video for her new single 'Werewolf', the latest track to be taken from her second album, Last of The Sun, which is out now via Scottish independent label OK Pal Records.

Since the record's release Feliz has been searching for an outlet for the usual post-album-release energy that would normally be channelled into touring, festivals, live audiences and emotional exchange; looking for ways to adapt to the new, COVID-dominated terrain.

There's no doubt that we're all craving the catharsis that live music brings - as there's a whole lot of healing that needs to be done - but in the meantime, Feliz has been seeking alternative ways to process some of the frustration that comes with the current ubiquitous sense of paralysis.

"A werewolf is an archetypal symbol of transformation," she explains. "Brooding, supernatural, born again, it represents that feeling of being at the threshold of something new after being in pain. I'm a believer in the mind and body being one, and something like oppression can manipulate our anatomy. So I figured: utilise that change, and ride it like a wave."

The video for the single was shot during lockdown (with Feliz's partner behind the lens) under a self-imposed rule that all the material has to be filmed in one session, on a full moon, alone, in the middle of nowhere. The resulting imagery has a sense of overwhelming solitude, channeling the desire to escape restrictions whilst letting go of control.

For those who might need it right now, Lucy Feliz has this advice to offer: "As it gets darker, connect to the ancestral realm of slowing the f**k down. Be forgiving to yourself and others, and try not to feel defeated. Under the ice, things are still happening - getting ready to seed again. Save your efforts for when it's more fertile out there...because things will change!"

Feliz released her second album, Last of The Sun, in late summer 2020 to a flurry of early excitement from press including CLASH, The Line of Best Fit, DORK Magazine, BBC introducing, Secret Meeting, For The Rabbits, For Folks Sake, Come Play With Me, When The Horn Blows and more.

Previous single 'Last Laugh' was recently featured as part of the BBC Introducing Isolation Mixes on the 'Working From Home Mix' from BBC Sounds, with Feliz enjoying key early radio support from BBC 6Music Recommends and Steve Lamacq for the first time.

Keeping busy during lockdown, Feliz recently took part in the Big Issue North's Big Busk At Home—a charity livestream gig raising money to provide Big Issue vendors with PPE and contactless payment devices, and providing financial aid to those who are still shielding. She also appeared on Quarantine Cabaret, Quarantunes (curated by OK Pal Records), and a Live Music Scotland lineup alongside Martha Ffion & Savage Mansion (Lost Map Records).
