LOS ANGELES (PLANET SCHNOOGIE) - MTV Real World Seattle Alum and lead vocals/songwriter for the Southern California band becky, Rebecca Lord scores with debut album 'Take it on the Chin.'
'Take it on the Chin' hit the streets June 2nd with an explosive response earning weekly top sales on CDBaby.

A melodic and explosive crowd pleaser with catchy choruses and heartfelt lyrics, Lord's voice is lush, her lyrics and melody, undeniable.

Rebecca's vocals have been compared to Mazzy Star but the music accompanying gives her band becky a much harder edge. Joined by new bassist Billy Close, the group has successfully blended a lot of different musical influences, giving them a very unique sound. The recent addition of the extremely melodic David Dyas on guitar diversifies the sound even more.

"Take It On The Chin" includes four recordings from the Tim Palmer (U2, Pearl Jam) sessions with Keanu Reeves (bass) and Paulie Kosta (guitar), as well as Goldfinger's Kelly Lemieux (bass) on a hidden track. The rest of the rockin' record was produced by Steve Refling, with the new line-up recording eleven more tracks.

Breaking out from her quiet moments on MTV's Real World Seattle, Rebecca Lord has come into her own. Exposing herself lyrically with a stage presence best described as 'raw explosive energy', brings an effortless connection with her fans proving Rebecca is one musical force not likely to fade.
