Alexander Ceruzzi, The
Melody Man, was born in Port Chester, New York. His musical career began at age four with accordion lessons. He developed into a jazz musician and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor and Master's Degree in
Music Education. He taught vocal and instrumental music at the high school level in Illinois and Iowa. Born with a rare musical gift known as perfect pitch, Alex can identify notes, chords, and key signatures as he listens to a piece of music without seeing the actual notes. His written music includes rhythm and blues, country, gambling, patriotic, Christian, and Christmas. Alex has received Song of the Year honors for "Dumpster Diving" (2010), "
One More Time" (2013), "Christmas Holiday" (2014), and "Jesus Forgive Me" (2015).
