Max Raabe Marries Quirk And Elegance At UCLA's Royce Hall, February 23

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Max Raabe, Germany's tuxedoed and darkly comic star, returns to LA to kick off his 2012 US Tour - equal parts glamour, humor, melancholy, and wit, Raabe and the sophisticated 12-piece Palast Orchester will perform music from their new album 'One Cannot Kiss Alone' (out February 21 on Decca) at UCLA's Royce Hall on February 23.

Called "fascinating" (NY Times), "virtuosic" (Wall Street Journal), and "exquisitely polished" (NPR), Raabe has performed at venues from Carnegie Hall to Marilyn Manson's wedding, gaining notoriety for his inimitable pop homage to Germany's "Roaring 20s." 'One Cannot Kiss Alone' gives that Palast Orchester treatment to twelve new tales of modern love, from the unsentimental, sensually swinging title track to the tongue-in-cheek "Top Secret Mission," all executed with orchestral arrangements and vaudeville timing.
