Mehro Releases New Short Film

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) As the season finale for the breakout SKY ON FIRE project, mehro presents us with a mythic visual parable of growing up via the loss of naivete. Written, produced and directed by mehro and shot in the magical land that is Joshua Tree, the technicolor video mimics Dorothy's journey to Oz and back through the eyes of the main character who experiences an epic sense of disillusionment throughout the experience.

Says the artist: "I wanted this piece to feel more like a short film than a conventional music video, a battle between innocence and toxic masculinity, a showdown between two energies that we all as humans must experience. For all of us, there is a side that longs to be free and dream and for all of us there is another side, one that looks to restrict and conflict with everything around them. I can't tell you how many nights I would waste doubting myself, how that doubt was killing my hope, my dreams... I wanted to tell that story, a true one, the story of how we can harness the darkness and move toward the light."
