Metro Ones To Watch, Acclaimed 4-piece Empathy Test Release New Album 'Monsters'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Written collectively by all four band members, Monsters captures the very essence of the current world zeitgeist and features the stunning title track which is accompanied by a video directed by the award-winning Calum Macdiarmid, which has been nominated for this year's Berlin Music Video Awards.

"Sound like they'd be perfect on the playlist at one of the Off-World Colonies' bars" - Metro

"Emotional electronic music with a depth in its measure" - Earmilk

It is a mark of Empathy Test's songwriting ability that so much of Monsters has an up-to-the-minute relevance - titles such as Incubation Song seem startlingly appropriate against the backdrop of the COVID crisis; Fear of Disappearing speaks of the isolation felt by so many in a world dominated by social media and fake acquaintances, whilst Monsters reflects a generation plagued by paranoia and anxiety. Empathy Test's album sees the band at the height of its powers, with liberal doses of dark electronic atmospherics, Chrisy's extraordinarily thunderous percussion, and lyrics by Isaac which deal head-on with the modern-day curse of loneliness which is regularly exacerbated by the keyboard warriors of social media.

"Trademark analogue synths with lashings of '80s influence" - Line of Best Fit

"Loving this more and more with every listen" Abbie McCarthy, BBC Introducing

Having had high praise from the likes Metro, Line of Best Fit, Clash, Earmilk, Louder Than War, PopMatters... to name just a few and with radio support from BBC Introducing, it's easy to see why there is such a hype building around the band.

"A set of songs lovers of 80s synth pop will be drooling over the minute the first verse has been heard." - Louder Than War

"Monsters sounds absolutely enormous. Driven by thundering drums and layers of clean, analogue synths, the band somehow sounds both thrillingly expansive and unnervingly claustrophobic" - PopMatters
