Music China is Asia Pacific's largest and most important musical instrument show and will cover six halls in a total exhibition space of 70,000 sqm.

"Our sell-out show is a reflection of the recovering global economy and that China is an important market for many international companies," said Mr Evan Sha, Deputy General Manager, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Ltd. "As a result, we have all the key global players at this year's show such as AXL, Conn-Selmer, Fender, KHS, Korg, Music Sales, Peavey, PianoDisc, Roland, Samick, Schimmel, Steinway, Tascam, Warwick and Yamaha. We also have newcomers such as Louis Renner Company from Germany."

Louis Renner, one of the world's best known producers of piano actions and hammers, is keen to introduce their latest products and development strategies to leading industry players. The company produces the universally acclaimed "Renner Action" which meets the demanding specifications of leading piano producers from around the world.

"Music China is the most important fair for the music industry in Asia," said Dr Frank Gebert, CEO of Louis Renner. "The most important players of the biggest market in the world are getting together, so we can discuss business in a very short period of time with the utmost efficiency. China is the largest piano market in the world with a growth of up to 500 000 pianos a year in the near future."

Other exhibitors also using China as a launch pad for their new or recently released products are:

* KORG will demonstrate their portable and affordable SP-170 digital piano
* Visitors will be able to view the latest NEO-POP piano from Sejung
* TASCAM will show their new DR-08 and upgraded DR-2d portable digital recorders

Fringe programme offers education and entertainment

Along with the range of instruments on the stands, musicians and visitors can increase their knowledge of the MI industry at the concurrent events running alongside the show, or be entertained by the many on-site demonstrations, live shows or special events.

There will also be "how to" sessions about meeting international standards and product branding.

The fourth edition of the Principal Forum offers principals from Chinese music conservatories and schools a forum to discuss music education. For retailers, the Retailer Forum will cover what's happening in the Chinese music industry market.

Making a first time show appearance will be the Living with Digital Music offering Plug iPhone / iPod touch / iPad and Play. The zone will show the latest musical technology applications as well as games and devices supported by Apple Inc.
