LOS ANGELES and SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (Top40 Charts/ MySpace.com/SNOCAP) - MySpace, the world's leading lifestyle portal, and SNOCAP, the premier music technology company for direct artist-to-fan online distribution, will co-sponsor a tent at this summer's Vans Warped Tour. The 'MySpace Tent Powered By SNOCAP' will offer meet-and-greets with bands on the tour and free music downloads for fans - including a different featured artist each week. The 30'x30' tent will travel to every stop on the nine-week tour, providing fans with an intimate area to interact with featured bands. Fans can learn more about the Vans Warped Tour on the official MySpace profile located at (https://www.myspace.com/warpedtour).
"MySpace Music has seen some fantastic bands grow their following exponentially, and now their fans can hang out with them on site at the Vans Warped Tour," Kelley Electa, Executive Director of Promotions and Events for MySpace. "It's like a MySpace page come to life."
Each week of the tour beginning July 2, one band, including Bad Religion, New Years Day, Gallows, Tiger Army, The Unseen, Poison the Well, The Briggs, and All Time Low, will be featured on the main MySpace Music page, and the band will choose one track for unlimited free downloads that week, available through their SNOCAP MyStores. Each MySpace-SNOCAP "Pick of the Week" band will be available during that week in the MySpace-SNOCAP Tent for meet-and-greets with fans.
MySpace and SNOCAP will also host several fan raffles throughout the tour, with prizes including side-stage viewing of the band of the winner's choice and MySpace gear, as well as kiosks for fans to check their MySpace pages and free music download cards courtesy of SNOCAP.
"The MySpace Tent Powered by SNOCAP really speaks to our overall goal for SNOCAP - to connect artists directly with their fans and to give fans a unique chance to meet their favorite Vans Warped Tour bands," said Bruce Taylor, Vice President of Marketing and PR for SNOCAP. "The free downloads are a great way for fans to take away musical mementos from the tour."
In select cities, bands will swing by the tent for impromptu acoustic sets. The MySpace and SNOCAP co-sponsorship begins on June 29 and runs through August 25.
