NYC Punk Rockers The Tracys Release Third Album 'Humdinger' Today
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) NYC punk rock outfit The Tracys released their third studio album, Humdinger today. A sonic punch of aggressive, fast-paced, classic punk rock songs, The Tracys embed plenty of tongue in cheek humor to keep listeners on their toes. Blending old-school west coast 80's style punk with modern pop-punk energy, The Tracys have found themselves at their best with Humdinger. The album premiered earlier this week on RockRevolt, which invited readers to "feast your ears on our latest punk obsession."

The album wastes no time jumping into action, with the infectiously catchy single "People Scare Me" for which a paranoiac and darkly allusive music video was released last month. The track and video take a humorous jaunt into the exploration of alienation and paranoia. The album as a whole derives itself from the band's digestion of modern society. "We drew from what we saw happening in the world around us - the result is a predictably angry, dark record with moments of levity and humor."

"Over the years we've written a bunch of songs, and Humdinger is really the most cohesive version of what we're going for," reflected bassist Larry Mancini. "While our earlier efforts may have been a little wide-ranging in terms of feel, we worked to make this record the vision of one band, as opposed to a bunch of individuals. We owe a lot of this to the simple fact that we've become a lot closer as friends, which makes the whole writing / recording process more collaborative, honest, and fun." The band collaborates on all writing, and recorded with Derek Mazurek at The Compound in Chattanooga, TN. "We typically play everything together as a band to hopefully capture some of the energy of our live show," Mancini shared.

Humdinger is available for streaming and purchase on all major digital retailers today, including Spotify, Bandcamp and iTunes. The band has a select number of physicals CDs available for purchase at their shows; grab a copy for yourself at the band's record release show tonight at Hank's Saloon in Brooklyn, NY with Live Ones, Cash Register, and The Measurements. Taking no time for a break, the band are busy preparing for a west coast tour later this year, and will be releasing a video for "I Hate Dancing" in the coming weeks. Follow the band on all social media channels to stay up to date!
