Nicki Minaj Pushes Album Release Date To August 10th

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rapper Nicki Minaj took to Instagram Live today to announce that she is pushing the release date of her forthcoming album to August 10. The album was initially announced to be released next month.

During the Instagram live, Minaj said ""The album itself I think I want to put out on August 10. I want to put out my second single, which I'm really, really excited about, and I want to now start an official countdown."

Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-born American rapper, singer, songwriter, model, and actress. She gained public recognition after releasing the mixtapes Playtime Is Over, Sucka Free, and Beam Me Up Scotty. After signing with Young Money Entertainment in 2009, Minaj released her first studio album, Pink Friday (2010), which peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200 and was ultimately certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, was released in 2012 and debuted at number one in several countries. Minaj made her film debut in the 2012 animated film Ice Age: Continental Drift, followed by supporting roles in The Other Woman (2014) and Barbershop: The Next Cut (2016).
