Vulnerable and utterly mesmerising, Peter Saputo's raw and relatable lyrics have captivated our ears and hearts since bursting onto the scene back in 2018 with the release of 'Why Can't I Say No'. Since then, Peter has garnered over 300,000 streams on Spotify and built on his ever-growing fan base.

Born and raised in San Francisco, the young singer-songwriter has been playing guitar and writing music since the age of 7 and has been perfecting his craft ever since. His endearing and honest lyrics have led to Peter performing at some of San Francisco's top venue's and gain a loyal, devoted fan base.

When asked about 'Lie to You', Peter stated: "There is so much insecurity directly put into this song that makes it so raw and powerful. It is written about wanting to say how you feel when you are too afraid to speak up about it. You feel like you're only seen as a friend, no matter how big of signs you try to give. You walk away whenever there's an open door because you're too nervous of the outcome. The longer you wait, the weaker you become within yourself to simply speak up. It hurts. Pure communication is one of the things most of us lack nowadays. "I'm fine," definitely doesn't mean you're fine. It really just means you're hurting, but you don't know how to say it; you are afraid to say it. By not speaking up, you're indirectly lying about what you're feeling. That's what this song is about."

You can catch Peter Saputo performing all his latest tracks and more at his upcoming headline show in San Francisco on August 2nd @ Brick & Mortar Music Hall, San Francisco.

Peter Saputo is set to release 'Lie to You' July 26th via CDBaby.
