Toronto, Ontario (Top40 Charts/ Skylar Entertainment) -
Karina Es was put on this earth to create, sing, entertain & stop traffic. With her passionate lyrics & sultry melodies reminiscent of
Lady Gaga meets
Christina Aguilera,
Karina presents a fresh & unique blend of urban & dance pop sounds that are completely intoxicating.
Karina has just released her new single "Space Rock" in Canada and numerous European countries including Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and the U.K.
Karina is already making history on an international scale by co-writing a song for China's No 1 superstar Laure Shang. Karina will share the stage with Laure when she performs in Toronto on Oct 17th 2010, at a historical performance that is a first for China & Canada. They two will perform 'When You Believe' made famous by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
Karina and her dancers rocked the house opening for Sean Kingston in Guelph, Ontario in Aug 2010. Nominated for the 2010 Toronto Exclusive Magazine Best Urban Artist, Karina also showcased for Gene Simmons and his new Canadian label Gene Simmons Records/Universal Music at The Super Market in Toronto. Karina's title track 'Make It Real' & 'What Are You Waiting For' were placed in a new teen TV show The Troops from Nickelodeon while Karina has other sync deals with The Eggplant, Reality Films Soundtrack, The Orchard and Audiosockets.
Karina Es is represented by the Chris Taylor, B.A., LL.B. law firm (Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtado, Nickelback, Drake, etc). 'What Are You Waiting For' is included on CD 4 The Troops - Independents for Independence compilation with international distribution. Karina earned her first endorsement deal from Toronto's trendy Queen West clothing boutique Fashion Crimes and her guitar player Lewis Moorman scored an international endorsement deal from Gibson guitars.
At age sixteen, after realizing her talent as a singer & songwriter, Karina began her search for collaborators to help develop her unique sound and lyrics. Karina started writing and recording with Peter Linseman, owner of Music Mentor Productions in 2006. Nejdeh Galoostian, a young and edgy producer, was added to the team and in 2009 her debut album Make It Real was born. In 2010 another producer was added to the team Yawar Siddiqui who is Linseman's co-producer on 'Space Rock'.
Karina is also involved in numerous charities and has recorded 3 songs for Chicago's Disability Outreach Fundraiser Compilation CD and has recorded the theme song 'I Believe In You & Me' for the cancer charity Look Good Feel Better in Canada. With the 'Space Rock' single release and being a Canadian representative performer at the Canadian Chinese Idol Opening Ceremonies Concert with the historical performance by Laure Shang, Karina Es's star is quickly rising.

China's No 1 superstar Laure Shang will perform in Toronto on October 17, 2010, marking this historical performance as a first for China and Canada. Shang sang the epic theme song, "23 Seconds 32 Years" in the most successful Chinese movie of all time, Aftershock which just debuted at 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. This performance will take place as part of the Opening Ceremonies Concert for Canadian Chinese Idol at the Chinese Cultural Center in Toronto, Ontario.
Entertainment and culture reach out like helping hands, opening the door wider for connecting Canada and China. This historical event celebrates the 40 years of relations between Canada and China. 2010 also brought China's president Hu Jintau to the G8 & G20 summits arriving early to sign a tourism agreement establishing Approved Destination Status (ADS) between Canada and China.
Laure Shang is the champion of the third season (2006) of a singing contest in China, Super Girls or Super Voice Girl. With the film Aftershock grossing over $100 million before even hitting North America, it is obviously destined for greater success. This has skyrocketed Shang to the No 1 artist in China with comparisons to vocal powerhouse Celine Dion. Her dance pop music along with her elaborate stage costumes now draws comparisons to Lady GaGa. Laure's English album in the works has her music progressing further drawing comparisons to R&B artists like Alicia Keys.
